Sarah Mitchenall - Garden & Interior Design

My design journey has taken me from studies in fine art sculpture to a career creating beautiful landscapes and interiors for clients all over the world.

Gardening and landscape design were my first love – obsession! – but moving into interior design after winning the Great British Design Challenge has expanded my vision. From a boutique hotel in Mallorca to an extra care home for LGBTQ people in Brighton, via landscaped gardens and residential properties, I bring a broad range of interests and skills to any project.

Sarah has transformed what was once a dull flat field into the most glorious garden - beautifully complimenting our house. We are absolutely thrilled with the result.

My absolute passion is bringing interior and landscape design together. There are no limits to what you can do if you think about your gardens and interiors in tandem. It opens up your home and gives you an amazing connection with the outdoors, something in our busy lives we all value.

It makes for cleverer design - and saves the client money. But the skills are very different, and as far as I’m aware I’m the only designer who combines both.

Sarah's room is a masterclass... Just genius. Wow wow wow.

There’s a misconception that employing a designer is a luxury, but it needn’t mean taking out a second mortgage, and I come with a bulging contact book that can save you money. It’s a partnership. Every client has their own unique style. I love working with new people and new ideas, understanding your unique taste and ideas and helping to take them to the next level.

Imagine. The space around you, inside and out, linked in a harmonious whole, increasing your living space and bringing the outside in, giving you pleasure wherever you look. Whether you want a new look for your home, a garden overhaul, or both, I bring strong, bold ideas to make your dream a reality.

Please don't hesitate to get in touch with any enquiries, I would love to hear from you.
